Parish President calls a mandatory evacuation the Yenni building on the Eastbank/Alario Center on the Westbank will be where citizens will be taken for shelter.
If you evacuate to a shelter bring snacks, water, medications, toiletries & money
If you are given the option to get on an airplane please bring your identification. You can bring one suitcase 30” x 16”, pets must be in a kennel and held on your lap.

Portable gas operated generator should be 10 to 15 feet from the house while operating.
Carbon monoxide is odorless and fatal
Do not add gasoline while the generator is hot it could be combustible
When hooking up a gas generator to your home you have to be careful not to send power back up the electric line or you could fatally harm a worker
Manual transfer switch can be installed for safety
Gas generator need maintenance and to be run monthly

October 17th is Night Out Against Crime STCA will host a night out for the neighbors.
STCA signs are in the works paid for by Councilman Johnston
Trees and beautification for Jefferson Highway is funded and plans are ready waiting on the weather to begin.
SPCA has an over abundance of animals that need adopting. Please spay and neuter your pets or strays you feed.
Utility boxes for beautification is a project in the works-more information to come.
Artwork on David Dr was discussed it is donated by Henry Shane. STCA was asking if we can get artwork for Jefferson Highway? River Road? Airline Highway? Clearview Parkway?
Airplane traffic is growing, the planes seem to be flying lower and the noise level is obnoxious. There is a petition that residents can sign to address this annoyance. Please look on the website for more information.
Residents are concerned about the Magnolia Park on Newman due to parking issues.
